Description

According to Amnesty International: "Amnesty International has received a video showing a soldier dragging an unarmed young man along Jiddari Polo junction in Maiduguri, before shooting him at close range. The corpse was left next to a pile of dead bodies in the middle of the road. The video appears to show that the man posed no threat and was shot in cold blood. This amounts to an extrajudicial execution, a crime under international law. There are no reports of soldiers like the one visible on the video, suspected of committing such crimes, being arrested, detained or prosecuted." [+]
