Descripción

According to Amnesty International: "The strikes that Amnesty International has researched were unlawful – in that they deliberately targeted civilian objects or disproportionately harmed civilians and civilian objects in relation to the concrete and direct military advantage anticipated from the attack, or failed to distinguish between civilian objects and military objectives. [...] The school’s director said that al-Asma school was hit at around 12:30pm on 24 August. She was at home at the time, but heard the coalition plane overhead, and heard the sound of the explosion when the missiles struck the school. She said that at the time, the school year had not yet started but that students had been coming to the school to complete their exams from the previous year. At the time of the attack however, she said the school was empty." [+]
