Description

According to Amnesty International: "In January 2012, M.M. repeatedly complained to soldiers at Giwa barracks that he was diabetic but they refused to take him to hospital until he became very ill. When he was eventually taken to the clinic on site at Giwa, there were no drugs to treat him. He was denied permission to call his family to ask them to bring him the drugs he had at home and was forced to endure 18 days without his medication. M.M. was taken twice during the 18 days to the barrack hospital but on each occasion the necessary drugs were not available." [+]
