According to Amnesty International: "On 9 March 2012, Ali Muhammad Sadiq (31), Ahmed Yunusa (24), Auwalu Mohammed (30) and two other people were shot to death when the JTF opened fire at an NNPC filling station at Rijiyar Zaki, Kano. A nearby police station had been attacked by suspected Boko Haram members and the five men who were staff and customers at the filling station sheltered in the service bay in an underground service pit to avoid the bullets. According to eyewitnesses interviewed by Amnesty International, the JTF entered the service bay and shot directly at the men. Seven people were sheltering in the service bay, five were killed. Ali Muhammad Sadiq was shot five times, including once in the head." [+]
